MAAYA (GB), °2014 – Thoroughbred by LANDO out of TERESA BALBI (MASTER WILLIE)

Maaya descends from one of the most respected bloodlines in German thoroughbred breeding. Her sire Lando is considered a true reference stallion, having won an impressive seven Group 1 races across Europe, the USA and Japan, and producing numerous champions on both the flat and over hurdles/fences.

Her dam, Teresa Balbi, trained in France by the renowned Myriam Bollack-Badel, also proved her class by winning at Listed level.

Maaya herself was trained for over five years, starting in France and later in Belgium. She claimed her maiden victory as a three-year-old at Chantilly (Paris) and went on to show strong performances in flat races over extended distances (2400m–3000m). With her exceptional stamina and proven ability to perform on softer ground, she excelled as a true staying type.

By choice, Maaya was never raced over hurdles or fences—I wanted her to retire safe and sound, which she did.

Today, she embodies elegance and resilience, and it is hard to imagine her offspring ever running out of steam in the cross-country phase of an eventing competition.

In foal by DON VHP Z, planned for April 2026

HUCSUCSO (IRE), °2017 – Thoroughbred by TEOFILO (GALILEO) out of HALL HEE (INVINCIBLE SPIRIT)

Hucsucso carries the bloodlines of the very best that Irish thoroughbred breeding has to offer, being by Teofilo, son of the legendary Galileo and out of a mare by the equally iconic Invincible Spirit.

She was trained for several years and proved her quality on the track with 4 wins and multiple placings over intermediate distances—showing the profile of a classic miler (1600m).

With her calm temperament and strong willingness to please, Hucsucso combines pedigree, performance and character—qualities that make her an exciting addition to the breeding program.
